At SKALA we care about your overall wellbeing, because an active, healthy lifestyle has a direct impact on happiness and wellbeing. Health and happiness are two of the most desired aspects of life for most people.
Climbing is one of the most complete physical activities, with many benefits for physical and mental health. One of the most important is the increase and stimulation of endorphins, known as the happiness hormone, which helps release stress and stimulates feelings of pleasure, happiness and satisfaction. At the same time, it is a physically very demanding sport, so our body needs to be prepared to avoid injuries, whether we are just starting out or have been climbing for a long time.
With the aim of offering a service in line with how we understand health, we offer a comprehensive Physiotherapy service covering prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment, delivered with personalised care according to your needs. We treat any General Physiotherapy and Sports Physiotherapy problem, and we specialise in Paediatric Physiotherapy.
Our goal is to provide essential preventive measures and treat physical injuries arising from sports practice, both professional and amateur. But above all, we specialise in treating the most common climbing injuries and pains.
Our children’s problems are parents’ greatest concern, which is why we offer a Paediatric Physiotherapy service to help children with their motor and mobility skills. We are specialists in all areas of Paediatric Physiotherapy (respiratory, digestive, neurological and neurodevelopmental) so we can take a global view of the child’s condition and offer suitable treatments in each case. Do not hesitate to contact us: tell us about your child’s case and we will assess how we can help.

Meet Cristina, a health professional with extensive experience in Physiotherapy who specialises in Paediatric Physiotherapy. She will lead our SKALA Health Team. From her clinic, located in our own centre, she will advise you on everything you need regarding physiotherapy, health and wellbeing.
I graduated from the University of Salamanca in 2007 and since then I have worked as a physiotherapist in a variety of settings, such as neurological centres, care homes for the elderly, early intervention centres and clinics specialising in sports physiotherapy. For 17 years I devoted myself to caring for babies, children and teenagers with motor problems, developmental delays, and digestive and respiratory problems. I have also treated adults with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. In 2016 I decided to open my own Physiotherapy clinic in Madrid, while teaching at university and running my own training centre for physiotherapists. I like to think that people, with my help, improve their quality of life, and that is my goal. I am currently back in my home city, Burgos, where I continue my dream of helping you feel better.
