With a day pass you can stay in the climbing gym as long as you like during that day’s opening hours. You can also come and go as many times as you like, to recharge at Nudo Ocho, or anything else you need.
No: use of the climbing gym is free access. You do need to book for birthdays, introductory sessions, courses and groups.
If you are a member, you enter through the turnstiles with the QR code in the SKALA app. Under-16s and over-60s can use an NFC key, which you can ask for at reception. If you buy a day pass, reception will take care of it.
Everyone can climb! It does not matter how fit you are or how old: at SKALA ROCO there is no age limit, from age 2 and 10 kg in weight to over-60s. Climbing is an activity that lets you get in shape without realising it, and everyone has a great time here, with the help of our instructors.
You do not need any experience or a particular fitness level: the first time you only have to register (online or on the tablets at reception) and accept the rules of use. SKALA ROCO has 24 auto-belays, so you can climb without a partner, and if you would like an introduction with an instructor you can sign up for an introductory climbing session. If you do not have the necessary equipment (climbing shoes, harness, helmet, etc.), do not worry: we provide all the equipment, backed by the quality of the best brands. To get started, climbing shoes and a harness are enough. Everything is available at reception, both for sale and for rent, so you will not be short of anything.
Of course! If you have any questions, our staff will be happy to help you, explaining how the facilities work and how to put on your equipment to climb as safely as possible, but remember that if you have not booked a specific service, use of the facilities is self-guided. If you need an initial lesson, we recommend an introductory climbing session (Bautismo). For information about these sessions call us on 637 88 11 88 or write to bautismos@skalaroco.com, or simply get in touch with us on WhatsApp
It is an initial lesson for beginners in which one of our specialist instructors will explain the most basic concepts and techniques to enjoy climbing safely. It lasts 1.5 hours and includes equipment (groups of 6 to 10 people, from age 4). If you would like more information you can write to us at bautismos@skalaroco.com
Of course! If you do not want to use our auto-belays and prefer to climb with a rope, we have routes of different difficulties for you to practise on.
Yes, our instructors will carry out a short test with you to make sure the safety rules are met.
If you are going to climb with a rope when you come to SKALA, that is, without using the auto-belays, your certification must be visible, so that our instructors know the test is no longer necessary.
A helmet is compulsory for everyone under 14 on all climbing (routes and bouldering) and for adults who lead climb. If you do not bring a helmet, you can rent one at reception for €3.
We have 24 auto-belays that make route climbing 100% safe. We also have mats in both the routes area and the bouldering area, the highest quality available for climbing. However, you must follow all the climbing gym rules, as well as the SKALA staff’s instructions, so that your climbing day is an unforgettable one.
Rental equipment prices are as follows:
You can bring your own equipment and, if you do not have any, you can rent or buy it at reception when you come.
For safety, capacity control and centre rules, anyone who enters the climbing gym must pay admission and accept the centre’s rules of use and operation.
Yes, and the adult then becomes responsible for the minor.
Children up to age 13 must stay with an adult at all times. Children aged 14 and 15 can enter the climbing gym on their own, but the responsible adult must remain in the centre.
Yes, but only in sporting terms. A 16-year-old is still a minor and therefore cannot have another minor in their care.
With the day pass for the climbing gym you can enter for free, as it allows you to enjoy all the facilities. If you are not going to climb, you can pay only the entrance to the play area for €4.95
The play area or ball pit is a space designed for children up to age 12 to play and have fun. It consists of a two-storey structure with fun obstacles, a spiral slide, lots of padded cubes to develop the imagination, a ball pit with a slide and work areas for drawing and colouring.
If the child is under 4, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The membership gives unlimited access to the climbing gym, the gym and calisthenics, as well as guided activities such as yoga and SKALAFit.
The family membership includes 2 adults and all children under 16.
